Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Hajimaro Fujinuma (ranked 6049 p4p, 5665 weight class) and Rylee Mannion (ranked 541 p4p, 528 weight class). Fujinuma comes to the cage accompanied by Yooooooooo. Hajimaro Fujinuma has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Hajimaro Fujinuma! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 8 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rylee Mannion! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Robert Douchet and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mannion swinging wildly here.
Fujinuma goes for a double leg but Mannion avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Mannion continues to drive forward. Fujinuma is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Mannion has Fujinuma pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Mannion pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Fujinuma tumbling to the mat - Mannion dives into Fujinuma's guard. Fujinuma throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Mannion escapes and throws Fujinuma's legs to the side, diving into side control! Fujinuma tries to improve position but can't. Mannion in side control, just content to control the action for now. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fujinuma is looking to regain half guard here but Mannion keeps moving and retains side control. Fujinuma being controlled for a moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fujinuma tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Mannion wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mannion thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Mannion is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Fujinuma has escaped the position, nice work there. Mannion tries to stand but Fujinuma is controlling his head. Fujinuma is looking to reverse the position. Mannion tries for a kimura but Fujinuma is defending well. Fujinuma is trying to improve his position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Mannion scores with a couple of short elbows. Mannion has hold of Fujinuma's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Fujinuma tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Mannion cranks the arm and Fujinuma screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Fujinuma, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Rylee Mannion!
