Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Makebono Bowen (ranked 6897 p4p, 24001 weight class) and Richard John Salvacion (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 44 - 114 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Makebono Bowen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 16 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Richard John Salvacion!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Stewart Dunkirk and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bowen looks to clinch
and Salvacion counters with a nice body kick.
Bowen falls off balance throwing a combination
and Salvacion makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Bowen really felt that one!
Bowen tries to clinch
and Salvacion counters with a body kick.
Bowen tries to clinch but Salvacion moves away
and Salvacion counters with a body kick that stops Bowen in his tracks momentarily.
Bowen throws a lazy head kick
and Salvacion counters with a one-two to the body.
Salvacion throws a head kick that Bowen semi-blocks.

It looks like Makebono Bowen has been cut.
Bowen moves to clinch but Salvacion breaks away
and Salvacion counters with a nice kick to the body.

Salvacion darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Bowen pushes Salvacion off but Salvacion dives into side control.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Bowen seems a little lost for a moment, as Salvacion dominates the positioning.
Bowen is breathing heavily.

It looks like Salvacion might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Bowen pushes Salvacion away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Salvacion gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Salvacion lands an elbow.
Bowen is trying to escape the position but Salvacion is controlling the position.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Salvacion throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Bowen tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Salvacion is in Bowen's guard.
Bowen wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Salvacion manages to pass to side control.

Salvacion is figuring out what he wants to do next.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Salvacion shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Bowen manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Bowen is looking to stand back up but Salvacion counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Bowen.

Still in half guard, Salvacion seems content to control.
Salvacion scoring with strikes to the body and head.
Richard John Salvacion has got the better of the ground game so far.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Salvacion slows the pace down in half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Salvacion's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Salvacion circles away from the clinch attempt
and Salvacion connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Salvacion shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Bowen is trying to defend but Salvacion finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Bowen tries to kick Salvacion off in order to stand up. Salvacion Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
Salvacion happy to just control the position for now.
Salvacion prevents Bowen from escaping the position.

A lull in the action here.

Check out the look on Salvacion's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Bowen takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Bowen wants to clinch

so Salvacion counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Bowen is looking to stand back up but Salvacion counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Bowen.

Salvacion looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Bowen with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Salvacion is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

Bowen is bucking up trying to escape but Salvacion cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Salvacion has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Salvacion breaks from Bowen's wrist control and lands an elbow.

Salvacion connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

Salvacion with more of the same as he continues to hold on.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Let's hope that Salvacion has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
We're seeing a lot of stalling here from Salvacion.
Richard John Salvacion is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Makebono Bowen has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Well Salvacion has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
