Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kaitlyn McGrady (ranked 4562 p4p, 6509 weight class) and Rakin Schmoe (ranked 48 p4p, 0 weight class). Schmoe has chosen Callum Scott - Dancing on My Own as his entrance music. Rakin Schmoe will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Kaitlyn McGrady!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Rakin Schmoe!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Jeff Smith and Roger Salmon.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGrady takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Schmoe shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says McGrady as he avoids it easily.
McGrady shoots in and gets a takedown into Schmoe's guard.
McGrady wants to control from the top but Schmoe keeps moving.
Schmoe is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
McGrady controlling from the top position.
Schmoe is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst McGrady is controlling him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
McGrady slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Schmoe really doesn't want to stay on the ground with McGrady. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

McGrady scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Schmoe looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but McGrady puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Well, if McGrady is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
McGrady is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
It looks like Rakin Schmoe has been cut.
McGrady wants to take a breather but Schmoe is having none of it.

McGrady seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Schmoe for as long as he can get away with.

McGrady is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
McGrady wants to work for an arm triangle but Schmoe is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Schmoe moves in looking to clinch but McGrady pushes him off.
McGrady shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
McGrady takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
McGrady decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
McGrady fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Schmoe to the ground. McGrady is now in Schmoe's guard.

Schmoe wants to get back to his feet but McGrady passes into half guard.

McGrady is trying to control the action in half guard but Schmoe is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Schmoe wants to control but McGrady is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Schmoe gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Schmoe shoots for a takedown but McGrady saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Schmoe dives in and grabs McGrady's left leg, looking for a takedown. McGrady pushes down on Schmoe's head and hops out.
Schmoe is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
McGrady is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Schmoe's half guard.

McGrady shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. McGrady showed some decent athleticism there.
Schmoe pushes McGrady off but McGrady dives into side control.

In defeat, Rakin Schmoe stepped up to the mic, saying 'I lost. It’s fine. Losing gives you a chance to learn from your mistakes. I’ve fought plenty of warriors that have done enough to beat me, lost my rematch with The Axe, lost to the Uggy Boogy dude. But I promise, I will turn it up in the coming time. '.
