Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rockwell Mcgee (ranked 4008 p4p, 5629 weight class) and Victor Rose (ranked 465 p4p, 522 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rockwell Mcgee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Victor Rose!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Joseph Jones and Anthony Taglia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mcgee scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Rose doesn't seem bothered though.
Mcgee scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Rose shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Mcgee cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Rose throws a combination that misses
and Mcgee counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Rose closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Mcgee's guard.

Rose connects with a couple of short punches.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Rose drops back, looking for a kneebar! Mcgee looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Mcgee looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Mcgee!

Rose moves into full guard.

Rose is looking for a triangle but Mcgee pushes his legs off easily.

Rose working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Mcgee doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Mcgee manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Rose looking to hit a scissor sweep but Mcgee is one step ahead there.

Rose tries to land a sweep but no joy.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Mcgee stands and steps away. Rose gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Rose shoots in looking for a takedown. Mcgee tries to sprawl out of it but Rose keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Mcgee manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Mcgee comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Rockwell Mcgee is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Mcgee moves into range and clinches up with Rose.
Mcgee tries to land knees in the clinch but Rose avoids the damage to the body.
Mcgee throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Rose blocks it with crossed arms.
Rose changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Mcgee fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Rockwell Mcgee has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Victor Rose.

Rose shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Mcgee pinned against the cage. Mcgee gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Mcgee moves into the clinch.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

Victor Rose is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Mcgee misses the shot to the body.
Rose with a lazy takedown attempt
and Mcgee connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Rose shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Mcgee cracks Rose with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

Rose closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Mcgee to the mat! Mcgee manages to get full guard.
Mcgee knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Rose on the ground.
Rose loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Rose accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Victor Rose has got the better of the ground game so far.

Rose is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Mcgee is surviving well by controlling Rose's body position as best he can.

BOOM! Rose connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Mcgee is rocked!

Rose swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Mcgee is now in Rose's guard. A big mistake from Rose there, giving up the dominant position!
Oh Mcgee is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Mcgee wanted to stand there but Rose had control of the position.
Mcgee seems to have got his legs back now.

Rose is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Rose has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Mcgee has passed into side control.
Rose is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Mcgee's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rose is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Victor Rose showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Rose takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Mcgee gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Rose looks to throw an elbow but misses.
Mcgee is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Rose is defending well for now.
Rose has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Mcgee is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Rose is looking to take this one to the mat.
Rockwell Mcgee has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Victor Rose.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rose swings wildly with an uppercut but Mcgee uses good head movement to avoid it.

Rose has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Mcgee regains guard immediately.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Rose has his foot on Mcgee's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Mcgee works his way back into a safe position though.

Rose is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Mcgee defends well.
Mcgee would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Rose wants to sweep but no luck.
Rose bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Mcgee's guard.


Rose is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Mcgee is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Mcgee has escaped and now he's on top!

Rose had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Mcgee defends it easily.

Rose is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Rockwell Mcgee.
I think Mcgee has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
