Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jean Luc Picard (ranked 4311 p4p, 3179 weight class) and The Royal Savage (ranked 481 p4p, 385 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jean Luc Picard! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, The Royal Savage! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Alan Glass and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Savage misses with a hook
and Picard counters with a left to the body. Savage misses with a hook
letting Picard counter with a right hand. Picard throws a hook but Savage avoids it easily. Picard misses the jab. Savage throws an overhand right that lands on Picard's shoulder, as Picard tries to avoid the shot. Picard cracks Savage with a good jab. Savage doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Some wild striking there from Savage.
An inside leg kick lands from Picard. Picard ducks under a wild hook from Savage. Picard jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit. Picard avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Picard lands a right hook to the body.
Savage on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. An inside leg kick lands from Picard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Savage loads up on a big right hand but Picard slips the punch. A counter left hand to the body from Picard misses its target. Picard throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
It seemed like Savage was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Savage cracks Picard with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Picard looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Savage finish him?
Picard is rocked!
That's one minute gone in the round. Picard takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Oh Picard is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Picard is breathing heavily. Picard ducks into an uppercut from Savage and that's knocked him out cold! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:09 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). The Royal Savage! The Royal Savage very nearly forgot to thank KOMBAT KLOTHING amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you. In defeat, Jean Luc Picard stepped up to the mic, saying 'It is possible to commit no mistakes and still lose. That is not weakness, that is life.'.
