Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alessio Scardina (ranked 6045 p4p, 6250 weight class) and Adam Orel (ranked 611 p4p, 619 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Alessio Scardina! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Adam Orel! The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Dean Styles and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Scardina on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

Scardina half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. We've been told by Scardina's head coaches at Cozad MMA London that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Orel misses with a double jab.

Orel's coach down at Brloh was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Orel's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Orel misses with the combination.

Scardina tries to counter with a takedown but Orel is quick to defend against it. Scardina moves out of range as Orel strikes. Scardina changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Nice cross by Orel. Orel swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Scardina counters with a nice double leg into guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Scardina showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground! Scardina has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Orel wants to stand and escape but Scardina is having none of it. Scardina seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Scardina preventing the sweep.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Scardina gets tackled into the cage by Orel. Orel maintains the clinch. Scardina tries to score a body lock takedown but Orel shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Orel manages to break the clinch.
Orel lands with a hook. Scardina tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Orel misses with a wild combination.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

He's worked his way up against the cage but Scardina has just dragged him back down to the mat. Scardina controlling from side mount. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Well, if Scardina is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Orel trying to control but Scardina postures up.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Orel fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Scardina looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Orel throws a right and a left that both miss. Orel throws a right and a left that Scardina avoids nicely. Scardina changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Orel with a nice cross. A punch combination from Orel misses.

Scardina is trying to drag Orel to the mat but Orel just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Scardina wants a takedown but no success here.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A combination from Orel does no damage. Scardina feinted with a counter takedown. Sloppy strikes from Orel. Those never looked like landing. Orel throws a leg kick and Scardina counters with a nice double leg into side control. Orel won't be happy with that. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Scardina remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Orel is not content to let Scardina control the position. Scardina working away. Scardina tries to move to mount but Orel blocks the move with his legs. Orel being controlled for a moment. Orel is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Adam Orel showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round! Orel lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

Scardina seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Orel for as long as he can get away with.

Scardina appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Orel connects with a good right hand that stumbles Scardina. Scardina circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Orel goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Orel fails to land with a series of punches.

Scardina appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Orel, as that shot connected.

And that's the end of the fight! Adam Orel comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Orel winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
