Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ron Austin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Luke Soza!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Yuuki Gou and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Austin stuffs the takedown.
Soza doesn't manage to clinch there - Austin circles away.
Soza is looking to clinch.
Austin appears to be looking for a big counter.
Soza has a takedown stuffed.
Austin closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Austin looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Austin looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Austin seems to be working for a kimura but Soza defends the submission attempt.

Austin is thwarting Soza's attempts to control the position.
Austin decides to stand up.
Soza throws a series of punches but Austin avoids them all with ease.
Soza fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Austin avoids it really well and circles away.
Ron Austin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Luke Soza.
Soza looks winded!
Excellent takedown into side control there by Austin.
Soza throws Austin to one side and escapes!
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Austin shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Soza manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Austin stands up and waves to Soza to follow him.
Austin defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Soza.
Soza shoots in for a double leg but Austin sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Austin closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Austin has hold of Soza's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Soza tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Austin cranks the arm and Soza screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Soza, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Ron Austin!
