And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Frost!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Summer Carpenter and Damien Edna.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Frost gets a clinch.

Frost breaks from the clinch.
Both fighters circling a little - Smart finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Edward Smart seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Frost moves into the clinch.

Smart breaks the clinch.
Frost tries to clinch up but Smart circles away and keeps his distance.

Smart closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Smart lands in his opponent's guard.
Smart is in close to Frost's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Smart looking to pass the guard.
Smart passes into half guard.
Smart tries to pass to full mount but Frost defends it.
Smart missing with the ground and pound from half guard.

Smart passes to full mount!
Smart controlling from the full mount.
Smart can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Frost is looking to escape.
Frost blocking the ground and pound.

Frost defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Smart.
Smart working the ground and pound effectively.

Smart throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.

Smart is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Frost has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Frost!
Smart seems keen to control Frost's posture.

Smart looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Smart looking for a sweep. Not yet Smart, not yet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Smart has Frost pulled in close to control his posture.
Smart trying to control the position.

Smart has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Smart manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Frost manages to get himself to full guard.

Frost keeping moving, preventing Smart from controlling successfully.
Frost has momentary wrist control but Smart slips an elbow through the middle.

Smart drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Smart jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Frost can't keep his opponent in guard - Smart advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Frost is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
Frost really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Smart. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Smart in particular looking to stall.
Frost is refusing to be controlled, as Smart sits in half guard.
Smart works his way into side control.

Smart has hold of Frost's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Frost tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Smart cranks the arm and Frost screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Frost, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Edward Smart!
Edward Smart bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
