Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rivo Kuik (ranked 4336 p4p, 4954 weight class) and Papa Doc (ranked 515 p4p, 533 weight class). Rivo Kuik looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Rivo Kuik!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Papa Doc!
The judges for this bout are Chris Dean, Donatello Bradman and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Doc misses with a double jab
and Kuik counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Kuik has Doc pressed against the cage, preventing Doc from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Kuik working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.
Kuik manages to break the clinch.

Doc misses the shot to the body.
Doc throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Kuik.
Doc blocks a head kick by Kuik.
A decent looking cross lands there for Doc.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kuik uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Doc.
Doc throws a right hand that Kuik ducks under and follows up with a left that Kuik also avoids with ease.
Doc takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Doc falls off balance throwing a combination
and Kuik counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Doc misses with a double jab
and Kuik holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Doc is trying to break the clinch but Kuik has him pressed against the cage.

As Doc looks to move away, Kuik throws a big counter combo but Doc just gets out of the way.
Oh Kuik is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Doc throws a right and a left that Kuik avoids nicely.
Kuik tries to counter with a takedown but Doc is quick to defend against it.

Kuik seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Doc tries to bum rush Kuik with a series of wild strikes but Kuik uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Kuik takes the fight into the clinch.
Kuik seems to have got his legs back now.
Doc tries to break the clinch but Kuik is controlling the position.
Kuik breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Doc misses with a combination
and Kuik counters with a low kick, right behind Doc 's knee.
Kuik throws a shot from downtown. Doc moves away and avoids it.
Doc lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Kuik fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Doc, pushing him back against the cage.
Kuik keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Doc's efforts to push away.
Doc wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Kuik has him pressed against the cage.

Doc is trying to break the clinch but Kuik has him pressed against the cage.

Doc misses with a looping left.
Kuik clinches.
Kuik slows down the pace here.

Doc throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Doc ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
A combination from Doc does no damage.
Kuik shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Kuik throws a nice looking combination but Doc bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kuik misses with an uppercut.
Kuik closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Doc wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Kuik tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Papa Doc will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Kuik pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Doc swinging wildly here.
Kuik tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Doc manages to circle out of the way.
Doc throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Kuik drops his hands momentarily and Doc takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Nice uppercut lands for Doc. That snapped Kuik's head back.
Doc changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Doc throws a monster overhand right that drops Kuik! Doc follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:44 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Papa Doc!
In his post fight interview, Papa Doc started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
