Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Frank Mir!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Dirk Anderson and Michael Johnstone.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mir shoots and misses

and Jones counters with a takedown into side control.

Mir throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!

Jones throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Mir tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Jones is in Mir's guard.

Mir scrambles and gets back to his feet.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Mir darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Jones punching from the bottom.
Jones wants to control but Mir passes into side.

Mir stands up and beckons Jones to his feet.

Mir is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Jones is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Mir.
Nice sprawl there from Mir as Jones shoots in.

Jones drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Mir throws Jones to one side and escapes!
Jones misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Mir.
Jones checks a leg kick.
Jones misses with a two punch combination.
Jones throws a half hearted mid kick.
Mir shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Jones but Jones pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Jones shoots for a double leg takedown but Mir sprawls well. He's pushed Jones's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Jones is breathing heavily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Mir drives through with a takedown into guard.
Mir postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Jones being controlled here, momentarily.
Jones looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Mir puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mir keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.

Mir seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Mir decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

Mir lands a left and a right that send Jones crashing to the mat, dazed. Mir thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Jones is rocked!

It looks like Jon Jones has been cut.
Are you kidding me?! Mir ducked down and unloaded an uppercut from hell that sent Jones clean off his feet! Someone make me a GIF - that's knockout of the night for sure!
