Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Marek Cervenka (ranked 4972 p4p, 5503 weight class) and Hopkin Bohn (ranked 415 p4p, 433 weight class). Bohn has chosen WET WET WET as his entrance music. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bohn shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Cervenka pinned against the cage. Cervenka gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
A little feinted left hand from Cervenka on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Bohn tries to clinch but Cervenka is having none of it.
Bohn tries to close the distance and clinch up but Cervenka swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Bohn tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Cervenka defends well and Bohn ends up having to push Cervenka into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Bohn walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Cervenka forces Bohn back against the cage and clinches.
Cervenka misses with a short punch on the inside.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bohn wants a takedown but no success here.
Marek Cervenka has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hopkin Bohn.

Cervenka works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Cervenka accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Cervenka drops back looking for a leg! Bohn is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Bohn manages to kick Cervenka off! Cervenka jumps back into Bohn's guard.

Cervenka postures up in Bohn's guard and throws a big left but Bohn blocks it.

Bohn is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Bohn wants to stand but Cervenka is controlling the position.
Cervenka throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Bohn works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Our spies down at at Cozad MMA New York inform us that Bohn has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?

Bohn has his foot on Cervenka's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Cervenka works his way back into a safe position though.

Bohn is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Cervenka is aware though and is defending well.

Bohn is rocked!
Cervenka gets to his feet and stands over Bohn, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Bohn felt that one! Cervenka unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Bohn from any more punishment!
