Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Stiena Shortes (ranked 4618 p4p, 3945 weight class) and Wendys Nuts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nuts has chosen Face as his entrance music. Wendys Nuts looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Nuts looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Shortes shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Nuts as he avoids it easily.
Nuts wants to clinch.
Shortes fails with the takedown.
Nuts tries to counter by closing the distance.
Shortes changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Nuts tries to avoid it but Shortes manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Nuts to the ground. Nuts escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Nuts's coach down at That one gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Nuts's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Nuts throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Shortes gets control of Nuts's arms and successfully pulls guard. Shortes will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Nuts wants to get up but he can't break Shortes's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Nuts accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Shortes stalks Nuts and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Nuts's face. Nuts staggers backwards, shaken.

Nuts unleashes a big counter combination but Shortes bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
