Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tacio Marcos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Floppy Rooster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rooster is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Jorge BenJor - Salve Simpatia. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Tacio Marcos!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Floppy Rooster!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Paulo Santos and Daniel Cesar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rooster bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Marcos wants to get back to his feet but Rooster drags him back down.

Rooster is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Marcos knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Marcos is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

Rooster wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Marcos, who protects the arm well.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Marcos pushes Rooster away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Rooster gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Marcos is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Rooster asserts his dominance and retains side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Rooster feints and as Marcos raises his hands in defense, Rooster changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Marcos pushes Rooster off and gets back to his feet.
Marcos misses with a wild combination.
Marcos misses with a head kick.

Marcos throws a sloppy head kick and Rooster moves out of range easily.

Rooster changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Marcos looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Marcos wants to get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rooster wants to control but Marcos is keeping him busy.

Rooster tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Rooster has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Marcos trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

Rooster has an Americana. Marcos didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Rooster is delighted and gyrates infront of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Rooster hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Floppy Rooster!
