Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Tom Obama!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 28 - 21 - 0, fighting out of New York, Doug Bell!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Radbod Blank and Saam Ante.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Obama lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
A slow jab from Obama misses its intended target.
Obama has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Bell throws a right and a left that Obama avoids nicely.
Bell thows a left - swing and a miss!
Bell throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
A quick step to the side and Obama tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.

Obama throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Bell just misses with a punch to the body.
Bell misses the jab.
Obama appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Obama walks into a straight right hand from Bell.
Bell tests Obama's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Obama just misses with a punch to the body.
Doug Bell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Obama lands with an overhand left.
Bell throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Bell throws a right and a left that both miss.
Obama misses with a body shot.

and Obama takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

and Obama counters with a lead uppercut that lands right on the button! Bell goes down! Will Bell beat the count? 3,4,5 - he's up! No problem. Let's get back to the action!

It looks like Doug Bell has been cut.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Obama scores a flash knockdown with a right hook that drops Bell to his hands and knees! The ref pushes Obama away as he looks to land an illegal blow. Bell got an extra few seconds to recover there, which could have made all the differences as he stumbles back to his feet. The referee looks into his eyes and decides to allow the bout to continue. Can he survive?!
Bell throws a hook but Obama avoids it easily.
It looked like Obama wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
A nice combination there by Bell.
Tom Obama is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

and Bell counters with a lovely straight right hand!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Bell ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Bell fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Bell moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Bell scores to the head and body with a nice combination!

Bell walks into a big right hand from Obama and goes down! The referee sends Obama to a neutral corner as Bell gets back to his feet. He looks OK so we're back under way.
BAM! Obama delivers a spinning backfist that drops Bell like a ragdoll! This is all oooooveeeer! He was out before he hit the ground!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Spinning Backfist). Tom Obama!
Tom Obama was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
