Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Diego Gabasa (ranked 4527 p4p, 4574 weight class) and Takehiko Hidaka (ranked 70 p4p, 79 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Donald Grub and Steven Brown.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hidaka dives in for a single leg takedown but Gabasa sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Hidaka lands a nice shot to the body.
Hidaka fakes the leg kick and cracks Gabasa in the body.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Gabasa.
Hidaka wants to get back to his feet but Gabasa is dominant here and he's now got Hidaka's back!
Hidaka is in bad spot here.
Hidaka is still trying to improve position.
Gabasa just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
You can see the frustration on Hidaka's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Gabasa has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Hidaka's body.
Gabasa scores with a nice shot to the head of his opponent. Hidaka is looking for a way out.
Gabasa is trying to stick to Hidaka's back but Hidaka is turning into Gabasa. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Gabasa's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Hidaka.

Well Hidaka has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
