Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Felix Speer (ranked 3511 p4p, 3858 weight class) and James Wilson (ranked 467 p4p, 502 weight class). James Wilson told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wilson throws a sloppy head kick

and Speer counters with a nice double leg into side control. Wilson won't be happy with that.
You can see the frustration on Wilson's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Wilson sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Wilson wants to control but Speer is keeping busy.

Wilson is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Speer scores with a couple of nice shots.
Wilson has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Speer is working away from the top position though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wilson is staying active underneath Speer, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Wilson working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Speer doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Wilson is tightening it up a little... Speer has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Speer reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Speer taps out! Nice BJJ there by Wilson!
