Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between King Gutierrez (ranked 5292 p4p, 24584 weight class) and Xxx Xxx (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Xxx Xxx is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Cecil Peabody and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gutierrez connects with a jab.
Xxx drives through with a takedown into guard.

Gutierrez misses with a hook to the body
and Xxx counters with a nice double leg into side control. Gutierrez won't be happy with that.

and Xxx connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Xxx on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Gutierrez throws a right hand that Xxx ducks under and follows up with a left that Xxx also avoids with ease.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Gutierrez , as that shot connected.
Gutierrez is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Gutierrez throws a lazy right hand but Xxx sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Xxx closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Gutierrez did well to prevent Xxx getting side control.

Xxx let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.

Gutierrez wants to slow Xxx down by chopping away at his legs.

and Xxx counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Gutierrez thinking.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Gutierrez tries to work over Xxx's front leg with a kick but Xxx checks it.

Gutierrez shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Gutierrez lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Gutierrez lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Gutierrez dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Xxx throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Gutierrez tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Xxx is in Gutierrez 's guard.
Gutierrez is looking to sweep but instead, Xxx has passed into half guard.
Still in half guard, Xxx seems content to control.
Xxx is continuing to stall.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Gutierrez wants to control but Xxx passes into side.
Xxx controls the position.
Gutierrez is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Gutierrez will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Gutierrez lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Let's hope that Xxx has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Xxx Xxx comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
