Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Moana Tautua (ranked 1635 p4p, 1274 weight class) and Isaac Vernon (ranked 221 p4p, 170 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tautua dips to his left and cracks Vernon with an uppercut!
Tautua ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Tautua shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Vernon jabs Tautua to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Vernon stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Vernon wants it to stay on the feet.

Tautua bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Vernon has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it.

You can see the frustration on Vernon's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Tautua thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Tautua throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Vernon's waist but Vernon gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Tautua off to one side.

We've been hearing good reports from Tautua's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Vernon is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Tautua frees his head nicely. Oh but Vernon has switched to an armbar! Tautua is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
