With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jacko Dawson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ivars Ivanovs!
The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dawson walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Dawson takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Dawson is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Ivanovs avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Ivanovs scores with a jab to the head.
Ivanovs lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Dawson up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Ivanovs from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Dawson's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Ivars Ivanovs!
