The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wizard gets tackled into the cage by Cassidy. Cassidy maintains the clinch.
Wizard blocks the elbow strike.
Cassidy throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Wizard takes an elbow to the temple.
Cassidy throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Wizard takes an elbow to the forehead.
Cassidy comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Wizard tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Wizard tries to pull guard but Cassidy holds him up against the cage and eventually Wizard drops back down to his feet.
Cassidy misses with an elbow over the top.
Cassidy creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Wizard jumps guard but Cassidy turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ryan Wizard. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Cassidy lands an elbow that stopped Wizard in his tracks for a moment.
Wizard pulls guard effortlessly.
Wizard has a closed guard, preventing Cassidy from standing up.
Wizard is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Cassidy is aware though and is defending well.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
