Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mew Choo (ranked 1522 p4p, 1282 weight class) and Adonis Stevenson (ranked 219 p4p, 190 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 31 - 23 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mew Choo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 28 - 19 - 1, fighting out of New York, Adonis Stevenson! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Cecil Peabody and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stevenson lands with a nice combination. Choo backs away looking to recover.
It looks like Mew Choo has been cut. Choo tries to clinch there but Stevenson circles away.
Stevenson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Choo lands with a shot to the body. Choo digs a good body shot into Stevenson's ribs. Stevenson finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

and Stevenson counters with an inside leg kick. Choo lands a nice shot to the body.
Stevenson misses with a hook. Choo ducked under it nicely. A head kick misses from Stevenson. Stevenson walks into a jab. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Choo throws a nice looking combination but Stevenson bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Stevenson misses with a looping right. Choo is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Stevenson. Nice body punch from Choo. Nice defenses there by Stevenson. Stevenson connects with a looping right hand.

Stevenson misses with a hook. Choo ducked under it nicely. Stevenson throws a leg kick but Choo sees it coming and checks it nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Choo tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Stevenson was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind. Choo takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Choo looks to land a right hand but Stevenson moved out of range. A jab from Choo does it's job there. Stevenson misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

and Stevenson counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Choo wants to clinch up but Stevenson keeps it at a distance. Choo tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Stevenson paws at him with a jab and circles away. Stevenson with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Choo to score with a decent uppercut. Choo takes a swing at Stevenson's ribcage but misses. Jab by Stevenson. Stevenson fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Choo on the side of the head. Stevenson lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. A looping hook to the body misses from Choo. Stevenson does a little dance to reset his feet. Choo looks to score with a jab to the body but Stevenson is just out of range. Choo is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight. Choo throws a series of punches but Stevenson moves out of range. Stevenson dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Choo. That did some damage!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Stevenson lands with a nice body punch. Stevenson misses with a straight left. Stevenson keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Choo. Choo ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Choo misses with a straight right. A looping hook to the body misses from Choo. Stevenson does a little dance to reset his feet. As Choo backs off Stevenson throws a huge counter combo but Choo manages to avoid it all. Choo doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Stevenson just misses with a punch to the body.
Stevenson throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Stevenson misses with a kick to the body.
Choo wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch. Stevenson lands a right hook to the body.
Choo ducks under a wild hook from Stevenson. Choo tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Stevenson manages to circle out of the way. Choo lands with a right hand. Stevenson misses with a body kick. Stevenson throws a sloppy head kick and Choo moves out of range easily. Stevenson takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Choo tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Stevenson manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stevenson keeps the fight on the outside. Choo stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Stevenson slips under a jab from Choo. Stevenson lands a jab to the nose. Choo moves out of range of the body kick from Stevenson.
Choo looks to clinch and Stevenson makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Choo really felt that one! Choo moves out of range as Stevenson strikes. Choo is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Stevenson. A slow jab from Choo misses its intended target. Stevenson tries to land a front kick but Choo steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Stevenson tries to keep at a distance but Choo has taken the fight into the clinch. Choo's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Choo manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Choo has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Stevenson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Choo is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Stevenson defends well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Stevenson showing good wrestling skills to control the position. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Adonis Stevenson dominated that round. The cut man is working on Mew Choo's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Choo uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Stevenson. Choo tries to counter by clinching up but Stevenson breaks away and moves out of range. Stevenson ducks right into an uppercut from Choo. Choo cracks Stevenson with a right hand to the side of the head. Stevenson gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Choo. Stevenson goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Stevenson lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Choo throws out a loose jab but Stevenson uses good head movement to avoid it. Choo throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Choo throws a looping overhand right but Stevenson ducks down to avoid it. Choo throws a body shot but no joy. Stevenson has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Choo fails with an attempt to clinch.

and Choo holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Choo jumps guard and drags Stevenson to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Stevenson slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Stevenson's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
That's one minute gone in the round. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Choo looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Choo trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Stevenson manages to pass to mount!

That's three minutes gone in the round. Let's hope that Stevenson has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Choo wants to hold on but Stevenson pushes him away. Choo is trying desperately to improve position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Stevenson content just to control the position here. Choo regains half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Stevenson perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Choo works his way to full guard. Good work. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Adonis Stevenson will probably get the nod - 10:9. The cut man is working on Mew Choo's cut. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round! Stevenson scores with a leg kick.
Choo tries to clinch up but Stevenson circles away and keeps his distance. Choo instigates a clinch. Stevenson lands a right hand. Come on Choo - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Choo jumps guard but Stevenson turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Choo tries to pull guard but Stevenson holds him up against the cage and eventually Choo drops back down to his feet.

Stevenson looks to score with a jab to the body but Choo is just out of range. Choo throws a big shot that misses. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Choo scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Stevenson doesn't seem bothered though. Choo misses with a straight left. Jab, jab by Choo - just one landing. Stevenson loads up on a big right hand but Choo slips the punch. Choo has closed the distance and engaged Stevenson in a clinch.

Stevenson fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Choo has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Stevenson scores with a hook to the body. Choo takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Choo has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Choo there as he acknowledges the shot. Choo misses with an uppercut. Stevenson connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Choo changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Stevenson lands the left hand. Stevenson throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Stevenson misses with a hook. Choo ducked under it nicely. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Stevenson gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Choo. Choo connects with a right hand. Stevenson shakes it off.

Choo ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Choo no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Choo can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Stevenson controls the pace. Choo is trying to hold Stevenson in close to prevent damage but Stevenson has managed to pass into half guard.
Adonis Stevenson is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Stevenson tries to stand but can't do so whilst Choo controls his leg. Stevenson wants to free his trapped foot but Choo is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Choo throws a sloppy strike from the bottom. He's now off balance and Stevenson manages to pass to side control. Adonis Stevenson has got the better of the ground game so far. Choo is letting Stevenson control him for a moment.
