The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Azeve fails with a takedown attempt.
Oliveira lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Oliveira shoots in looking for a takedown. Azeve tries to sprawl out of it but Oliveira keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Azeve manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Math Azeve seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Oliveira doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Azeve counters with a single leg into guard. Oliveira didn't expect that.
Azeve controls from within his opponent's guard.
Azeve tries to free his leg and advance position but Oliveira is retaining full guard.

Azeve wants to pass the guard but Oliveira is keeping the position.

Oliveira manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Azeve manages to get himself to full guard.
Azeve tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Azeve working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Oliveira.
Azeve has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Oliveira should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Azeve has tightened it up now! Oliveira should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
