PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Wolfgang Muller (ranked 127 p4p, 173 weight class) and Grant Alyoshin (ranked 19 p4p, 27 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Muller might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to In the Hall of the Mountain King. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Muller fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Alyoshin tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Muller is able to avoid easily.
Muller half committed to a counter leg kick.
Alyoshin looks to land a right hand but Muller moved out of range.
Muller lands a body shot.
Muller looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
A slow jab from Muller misses its intended target.
Alyoshin takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Muller connects with a solid leg kick.
Alyoshin throws a shot from downtown. Muller moves away and avoids it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A big left from Alyoshin misses.
Muller slips under a jab from Alyoshin.
Muller throws the left hand but Alyoshin avoids the punch easily.
A little jabbing left from Alyoshin on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Muller lands a jab.

Muller lands a leg kick that knocks Alyoshin off balance momentarily.
Alyoshin takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Alyoshin throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Muller on the side of the head.
Muller cracks a nice hook into Alyoshin's ribs.
Alyoshin throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

It looks like Wolfgang Muller has been cut.
Muller lands a nice looking body shot.
Muller dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Alyoshin staying out of range there.
Muller swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Muller lands a big head kick that sends Alyoshin tumbling to the mat! Muller takes a step backwards and waves Alyoshin back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Alyoshin is rocked!

It looks like Grant Alyoshin has been cut.
Muller is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Alyoshin flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Alyoshin is out cold! Muller holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!

A less than humble Wolfgang Muller misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
