Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ruben Ruiz Mangas (ranked 1150 p4p, 1510 weight class) and Artie DeVanzo (ranked 177 p4p, 223 weight class). Mangas comes to the cage accompanied by I'm a Soldier. DeVanzo has chosen Renée & Renato - Save Your Love as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
DeVanzo throws an off balance right hand
and Mangas counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Mangas throws the left hand but DeVanzo avoids the punch easily.
DeVanzo just misses with a punch to the body.
DeVanzo fails to land the takedown.
Artie DeVanzo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Mangas feints and then cracks DeVanzo's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow DeVanzo down.

DeVanzo fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Mangas manages to avoid it.

Mangas takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

It looks like Ruben Ruiz Mangas has been cut.
DeVanzo connects with a good right hand that stumbles Mangas. Mangas circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
DeVanzo cracks Mangas with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Mangas catches DeVanzo with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
DeVanzo comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Mangas connects with an inside leg kick.
Mangas slips a jab and a cross from DeVanzo.
Mangas looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Mangas walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. DeVanzo checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Mangas looks to land a right hand but DeVanzo moved out of range.
DeVanzo throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Mangas.
DeVanzo feints a jab promting Mangas to slip. DeVanzo then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Mangas slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
DeVanzo gets cracked there but stands up to it.
DeVanzo tries to bum rush Mangas with a series of wild strikes but Mangas uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Mangas tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but DeVanzo was well out of range. Poor timing from Mangas.

DeVanzo fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
DeVanzo misses with a jab, cross combination.

Mangas uses good head movement to avoid the hook from DeVanzo.
Mangas is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Mangas fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. DeVanzo looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

and Mangas counters with a straight right hand.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Mangas closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
DeVanzo swings for the body but Mangas moves out of range.
A counter left hand to the body from Mangas misses its target.
DeVanzo seems to have recovered his senses.
DeVanzo shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Mangas sprawls well. Mangas wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. DeVanzo gets slowly back to his feet.
Ruben Ruiz Mangas has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Artie DeVanzo.
DeVanzo drops his hands momentarily and Mangas needs no second invitation. He sets himself and throws a perfect high kick, that clips DeVanzo just on the top of the head. DeVanzo drops like a sack of potatoes to the canvas, out cold! Oooooooh yeah! Stick a fork in DeVanzo - he's done!
