Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Artie DeVanzo (ranked 1905 p4p, 3767 weight class) and Furio Spartan (ranked 282 p4p, 483 weight class). DeVanzo comes to the cage accompanied by Renée & Renato - Save Your Love. The crowd seem to be enjoying Spartan's choice of entrance music: This is Sparta. The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, George Francis and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
DeVanzo jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.

Spartan looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Spartan lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Spartan enables DeVanzo to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Spartan manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
