Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 30 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Zheko Melondov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Grant Alyoshin!
The judges for this bout are Ron Honeybunn, Ben Watson and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Melondov avoids a punch combination nicely.
Alyoshin steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Melondov.
Alyoshin throws a body punch but Melondov moves out of range.
Grant Alyoshin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Melondov on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Alyoshin smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Melondov throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A big left from Alyoshin misses.
Alyoshin throws a hook but Melondov blocks it.
Melondov is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
The fight stays on the outside here - Alyoshin looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Alyoshin tries to work over Melondov's front leg with a kick but Melondov checks it.
Melondov scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Alyoshin doesn't seem bothered though.
Melondov misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Alyoshin.
Alyoshin tries to clinch but Melondov is having none of it.
Melondov throws a right and a left that both miss.
Alyoshin connects with a solid leg kick.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Melondov checks a leg kick.
Alyoshin lands with a hook. Melondov tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
It looks like Zheko Melondov has been cut.
We've been told by Melondov's head coaches at High Kicks that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
A big left from Melondov misses.
Alyoshin doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Melondov darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
It looks like Grant Alyoshin has been cut.
Donk. Alyoshin catches Melondov right on the button with a cross.
Alyoshin looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Nice jab there from Alyoshin.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Melondov checks the leg kick nicely there.
Melondov chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Alyoshin can pounce on him.
Melondov lands a nice looking body shot.
Melondov connects with a leg kick.
Alyoshin lands a big head kick that sends Melondov tumbling to the mat! Alyoshin takes a step backwards and waves Melondov back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Melondov is rocked!
Melondov on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Oh Melondov is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Alyoshin lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Melondov drops his hands momentarily and Alyoshin needs no second invitation. He sets himself and throws a perfect high kick, that clips Melondov just on the top of the head. Melondov drops like a sack of potatoes to the canvas, out cold! Oooooooh yeah! Stick a fork in Melondov - he's done!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:10 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Grant Alyoshin!
A relieved looking Grant Alyoshin thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
