Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy Damnation (ranked 3210 p4p, 2196 weight class) and Marcus Shakes (ranked 399 p4p, 284 weight class). Damnation comes to the cage accompanied by St. Jimmy- Green Day. Shakes has chosen About the Money- T.I. as his entrance music. Marcus Shakes told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Shakes closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Shakes using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Damnation has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Shakes moves into the clinch.
Damnation lands a shot to the body.

Shakes wants to get up but he can't break Damnation's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Shakes wants to stand but Damnation is controlling his posture from full guard.

Shakes got a little sloppy there for a moment and Damnation has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Shakes has managed to get both his arms back between Damnation's legs - danger averted.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Shakes gets to his feet - Damnation follows without any prompting.

Well Shakes has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
