Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Meyer Lanksy (ranked 4195 p4p, 3143 weight class) and Kaikura Camara (ranked 492 p4p, 405 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Meyer Lanksy! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kaikura Camara! The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Dean Styles and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A looping hook to the body misses from Camara. Lanksy does a little dance to reset his feet. Camara lands with a nice body punch. Camara ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Lanksy lands a nice shot that snaps Camara's head back.
Lanksy throws the left hand but Camara avoids the punch easily. The fighters circling - Lanksy throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Lanksy throws a looping overhand right but Camara ducks down to avoid it. Lanksy swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Camara ducks under a wild hook from Lanksy. Lanksy throws a jab but it's blocked by Camara. Lanksy connects with a body shot that sends Camara's belly button to the back. Camara looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Lanksy doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Camara uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Lanksy. Lanksy definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Camara throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Camara throws a nice inside leg kick. Lanksy throws a lazy right hand but Camara sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Camara is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Lanksy rather than just go for the knockout. Camara closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Camara swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Lanksy thows a left - swing and a miss! Lanksy throws a hook but Camara blocks it. Meyer Lanksy is winning the standup battle so far. Lanksy throws a hook but Camara blocks it. Lanksy takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Lanksy moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Camara scores with a leg kick.

Nice body punch from Camara. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Camara as Lanksy tries to tie him up. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Camara takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Camara lands with a right to the head. We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Camara in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Camara lands a hook that snaps the head of Lanksy backwards. Camara working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. A shot in the inside from Camara. Camara has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Camara scores with a nice hook to the head. Camara cracks Lanksy with a nice body shot. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Camara throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Lanksys head. Lanksy is trying to break free. Camara lands a nice uppercut. Kaikura Camara seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far. Camara displaying some good clinch control by pressing Lanksy up against the cage. Camara digs a right hand into Lanksy's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Lanksy's gas tank. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Kaikura Camara showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round! Camara connects with a high kick. Meyer Lanksy has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Camara slips a jab and a cross from Lanksy.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. A head punch blocked on the inside by Lanksy. Camara stalling in the clinch.

Camara will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Lanksy up against the cage. Camara cracks Lanksy with a nice body shot. Come on Camara - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Kaikura Camara. Lanksy on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Camara lands a high kick!

And that's the end of the fight! Kaikura Camara comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Camara has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
