Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bruno Neves (ranked 1925 p4p, 2448 weight class) and Mitsugu Takeishi (ranked 64 p4p, 76 weight class). Takeishi has chosen Kabuki Gomen-Jyo as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 21 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bruno Neves!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mitsugu Takeishi!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Bruno Lombardi and Joseph Jones.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Takeishi wants to clinch.

Neves changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Takeishi fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Takeishi moves in looking to clinch but Neves pushes him off.
Neves misses with a double jab.

Neves catches Takeishi with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Neves dives in for a single leg takedown but Takeishi sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Takeishi tries to work over Neves's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Takeishi lands an elbow just above Neves 's eye.

Neves turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Takeishi is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Takeishi really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Neves. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The cut man is working on Bruno Neves's cut.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Neves moves in looking to clinch but Takeishi pushes him off.
Takeishi moves away from the strike by Neves.
Neves lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Neves.

It looks like Mitsugu Takeishi has been cut.
Takeishi tries to close the distance and clinch but Neves swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Takeishi displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Neves.
Takeishi is looking to clinch.
Neves looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Neves shoots in but no luck this time.

Mitsugu Takeishi showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

A looping hook to the body misses from Takeishi. Neves does a little dance to reset his feet.

Takeishi drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Neves has a closed guard, preventing Takeishi from standing up.
Neves is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Neves wants to sweep but no luck.
Takeishi would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Neves is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Takeishi is aware though and is defending well.

Neves has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Takeishi can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Neves has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Takeishi should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Neves has tightened it up now! Takeishi should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
