Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Muhammad Arslan (ranked 3330 p4p, 24138 weight class) and Tom Fast (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Muhammad Arslan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Chad Campbell and John Roberts.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Arslan shoots for a takedown but Fast saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Fast looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Arslan fails with a takedown attempt.
Fast keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Fast gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Arslan to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Fast is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Arslan dives into side control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Fast looks to move to half guard but instead Arslan has passed into mount! Damn!

Fast in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
Arslan wants to control the pace but Fast is squirming around nicely.
Arslan lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Fast slips a straight right by Arslan.
Arslan fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Arslan throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Fast tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Arslan is in Fast's guard.
Arslan is pushing down on Fast's leg trying to pass to half guard. Fast is fighting to maintain full guard but Arslan has managed to sneak the leg through.
Arslan has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Fast has hold of Arslan's hands but Arslan slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Fast is breathing heavily.

Fast is refusing to be controlled, as Arslan sits in half guard.

Arslan is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Arslan wants to control but Fast is keeping him busy.
Fast has hold of Arslan's hands but Arslan slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Fast is not content to let Arslan control the position.

Arslan wants to free his trapped foot but Fast is holding on for dear life with his legs.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Arslan moves nicely into side control.
Arslan is looking to take a break and control but Fast is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Arslan cracks Fast with a big right hand but Fast just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Fast gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!

Arslan postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Fast in real trouble here! The ref calls for Fast to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
