PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Affectionately Eve (ranked 6705 p4p, 24098 weight class) and Rico Salvacion (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rico Salvacion will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Alan Glass and Chris Downing.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Salvacion shoots in looking for a takedown but Eve manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Salvacion's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
And Eve counters with a quick kick to the body but Salvacion blocks it.

Eve shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Salvacion manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Eve is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Eve seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Salvacion for as long as he can get away with.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Salvacion fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Eve throws a quick counter head kick but Salvacion was just out of range.
Eve dives in and grabs Salvacion's left leg, looking for a takedown. Salvacion pushes down on Eve's head and hops out.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Salvacion won't allow Eve to get back to his feet.

That's time! Eve's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Eve feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Eve has his hands on Salvacion's head, controlling the position.
Eve wants to stand and escape but Salvacion is having none of it.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Salvacion closes this distance looking for a takedown but Eve circles away.
Eve throws a quick counter kick to the body but Salvacion avoids it.
Salvacion tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Eve defends well and Salvacion ends up having to push Eve into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Eve feints and as Salvacion raises his hands in defense, Eve changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Eve stands up from Salvacion's guard - Eve perhaps looking for a knockout.
Eve slaps away a takedown attempt from Salvacion, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Salvacion shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Eve pinned against the cage. Eve gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
It appears Eve was looking to counter with a kick there.
Salvacion fails with the takedown.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. And we move into the final round!

It looked like Eve was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Eve has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Eve feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
