PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Big Zac Tan (ranked 3174 p4p, 4094 weight class) and Rustam Tsubekov (ranked 408 p4p, 512 weight class). Tan comes into the arena with Thunder blaring out of the sound system. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tsubekov shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Tsubekov was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Tsubekov tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Tsubekov has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Tan has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.
Tan tries to bench press Tsubekov off him but Tsubekov keeps the position.
Tan looks to move to half guard but instead Tsubekov has passed into mount! Damn!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Tsubekov is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Tan can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Tan on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Tan tries to get out of the position.

Tsubekov has hold of Tan's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Tan manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Tsubekov is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Tan has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Tan!

Tsubekov drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Tan dives on top into guard.

Tsubekov has his foot on Tan's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Tan works his way back into a safe position though.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Tan is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Tsubekov has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Tan is looking to defend but Tsubekov has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Tan! Tsubekov pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Tan taps out and this one is all over!
