Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Alejandro Da Silva (ranked 4624 p4p, 4910 weight class) and Chel Diokno (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Diokno has chosen This is my story as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Alejandro Da Silva! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Chel Diokno! The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Anni Minnemäki and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Da Silva avoids the head kick by Diokno.
Da Silva changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Diokno misses with a head kick.
Da Silva feinted with a counter takedown. Diokno moves into the clinch. Diokno tries a knee to the head but Da Silva blocks it.
Diokno looking to stall.
Diokno has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Diokno breaks from the clinch.
Da Silva circles away from the clinch attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Diokno tries to clinch up. Da Silva changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Diokno lands with a kick to the temple. Da Silva shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Diokno pulls out of a head kick attempt.

That's one minute gone in the round. Diokno has Da Silva up against the cage in a clinch.
Diokno misses with a hook from the clinch. Diokno lands a body shot. Diokno trying to land knees to the body.
Diokno tries to land knees in the clinch but Da Silva avoids the damage to the body. Diokno looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Da Silva has Diokno pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Da Silva pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Diokno tumbling to the mat - Da Silva dives into Diokno's guard. Da Silva is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Da Silva postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Da Silva throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Da Silva is working Diokno over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Diokno not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Da Silva passes easily into side control. Nice work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Diokno takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. A lull in the action here. Da Silva lands a nice forearm strike. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Da Silva landing strikes. Da Silva working the body and head with strikes. Da Silva taking a breather here. Da Silva could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Diokno really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Da Silva. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Da Silva seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Diokno for as long as he can get away with. Diokno takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Da Silva tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Da Silva has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Da Silva working the ground and pound from side control. Diokno is trying to control Da Silva's posture but Da Silva avoids it. Diokno is trying to escape the position but Da Silva is controlling the position. Diokno taking a bit of punishment here - Da Silva scoring with strikes. You can see the frustration on Diokno's face as Da Silva controls the position. Da Silva working the ground and pound from side control. Diokno tries to improve position but can't. Da Silva working away. Diokno looks winded! Da Silva is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Diokno is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Diokno is looking to reverse the position. Da Silva is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Da Silva advances to full mount. Da Silva has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Da Silva content just to control the position here. Diokno tries to get back to half guard but can't. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Da Silva has hold of Diokno's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Diokno manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Diokno is in a horrible position here. Da Silva smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Da Silva working away from the top, dropping strikes. Da Silva tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Da Silva's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Da Silva landing strikes from the mount. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Diokno is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Da Silva scores with a couple of nice shots. Da Silva passes to side control. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Da Silva avoids the attempt from Diokno to control. Da Silva looking for a guillotine from mount but Diokno is having none of it. Diokno is squirming around, avoiding Da Silva's attempts to control the action.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Diokno tries to lock up and control but Da Silva gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Da Silva postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Diokno looks a forlorn figure.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Da Silva content just to control the position here. Da Silva raining down shots from the mount! Da Silva looking to control but Diokno is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Diokno is looking to get to half guard. Da Silva wants to control the pace but Diokno is squirming around nicely. Diokno tries to lock up and control but Da Silva gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Da Silva landing punches. Da Silva controlling the position easily from mount. Da Silva cracks Diokno with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Diokno is rocked! Da Silva takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Da Silva is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Diokno is forced to tap! Great finish!
