PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Alejandro Da Silva (ranked 4624 p4p, 4910 weight class) and Chel Diokno (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Diokno has chosen This is my story as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Da Silva has Diokno pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Da Silva pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Diokno tumbling to the mat - Da Silva dives into Diokno's guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Da Silva could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Diokno really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Da Silva. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Da Silva seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Diokno for as long as he can get away with.

Da Silva has hold of Diokno's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Diokno manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
