This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the super heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. And in the blue corner, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, with a TWGC record of 6 wins and 4 losses; Arthur Kincaid! The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Radbod Blank and Patrick Alders.
The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way. Kerr looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Kerr shoots in for a takedown but Kincaid shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Kerr closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Kerr (2) vs (0) Kincaid Kincaid is trying to control but can't.
Kincaid looking for submissions off his back. Kincaid desperately trying to maintain half guard. We've been hearing good reports from Kerr's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kincaid looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Kerr content to control rather than advance.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kerr seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Kincaid does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Kincaid gets back to full guard.
Kincaid had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Kerr defends it easily. Kincaid working a defensive guard here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kincaid has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kerr can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Kincaid not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Kincaid holds on and takes a little breather. Kerr trying to control the position from guard on top but Kincaid is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Kerr is sitting in close to Kincaid's body. Kincaid has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Kerr is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Kerr is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Kincaid.
