Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Minerva Wulf (ranked 5070 p4p, 5060 weight class) and Joanne River (ranked 254 p4p, 253 weight class). Wulf comes to the cage accompanied by Sanctus Dominus. Joanne River looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Wulf drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
River wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Wulf manages to pass to side control.

Wulf lands strikes from half guard.

Wulf is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Wulf throws a strike but River avoids it easily and moves to full guard.

River felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.

River pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

River really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Wulf. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

River is bucking up trying to escape but Wulf cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
