Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Wizard (ranked 2449 p4p, 2429 weight class) and Dax Crumper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ryan Wizard has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ryan Wizard! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 4 - 3 - 1, fighting out of The Island, Dax Crumper! The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Dirk Anderson and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Crumper shoots in looking for a takedown but Wizard manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Crumper's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Nice takedown defense from Wizard. No joy for Crumper on that attempt. Wizard lands with an uppercut that bounces Crumper off the cage and back into range. Wizard shoots for a takedown but Crumper saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Crumper shoots in for a takedown but Wizard shows good takedown defense. Wizard swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Ryan Wizard has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dax Crumper. Crumper shoots in and bounces Wizard off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Crumper with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Wizard has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Crumper can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Crumper controls from within his opponent's guard. Crumper tries to free his leg and advance position but Wizard is retaining full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Crumper avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Crumper pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Wizard is keeping the position for now. Crumper lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Wizard will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Crumper tries to free his leg and advance position but Wizard is retaining full guard.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Wizard escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Crumper gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Wizard throws his legs up looking for a submission but Crumper uses it to pass to side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wizard gets back to half guard. Wizard moves into full guard.
Wizard looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Wizard looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Crumper trying to control the position from guard on top but Wizard is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Wizard wants to control the position but Crumper says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard. Wizard trying to control but Crumper postures up.
Crumper keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. My spies in Cozad The Island inform me that Crumper has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Let's hope that Crumper has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Wizard is staying active underneath Crumper, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Crumper working over Wizard with some ground and pound. Wizard looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Wizard actively working from the bottom here. Crumper is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Wizard! Wizard tries to hold on but Crumper postures up. Crumper raining down shots from the mount! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Crumper takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Crumper lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Dax Crumper dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Crumper gets the takedown into side control. Dax Crumper has got the better of the ground game so far. Wizard is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Wizard is trying to get back to half guard. Wizard is not content to let Crumper control the position. Crumper working the body and head with strikes. Wizard tries to buck Crumper off but Crumper is having none of it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wizard is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Crumper off and has taken his back! Crumper prevents Wizard from getting a body triangle. Wizard is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Crumper knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Crumper for a finish. Crumper fending off the submission attempt from Wizard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Crumper tries to break free.
Wizard is trying to stick to Crumper's back but Crumper is turning into Wizard. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Wizard's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Crumper. Crumper with a nice head shot there. Crumper distracts Wizard with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Crumper passes easily into side control. Nice work. Crumper is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Check out the look on Crumper's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wizard takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

Wizard manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Wizard has hold of Crumper's hands but Crumper slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Crumper is taking a breather. Wizard says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Wizard actively working from the bottom here. Wizard looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Wizard is trying to maintain the position but Crumper is very close to passing his half guard. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Crumper lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Crumper is taking a breather. Wizard says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Crumper winds up and cracks Wizard with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Wizard looking for submissions from an awkward position here. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Wizard looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Crumper sitting and controlling from the half guard. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Dax Crumper showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Crumper shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Wizard napping and manages to drive through into side control! Crumper looks up at the clock and then as Wizard takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Crumper smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

That's one minute gone in the round. Crumper scores with a couple of short elbows. Wizard regains half guard. Crumper prevents Wizard from improving his position. Wizard actively working from the bottom here. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Crumper scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Wizard trying to control but Crumper postures up.
Dax Crumper is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Crumper seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Crumper is looking to advance position but Wizard won't allow it. Crumper trying to control the pace. Wizard wants to improve his position but Crumper is controlling well.

Wizard tries to roll over but Crumper keeps him under control. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Crumper is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
And that's the end of the fight! Dax Crumper comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Crumper winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
