Coming up we have a light heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Xafan Kong (ranked 1598 p4p, 2828 weight class) and Mako Akumba (ranked 240 p4p, 363 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 27 - 15 - 0, fighting out of New York, Xafan Kong!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mako Akumba!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Shigeki Fujiwara and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Akumba closes the distance and lands a one-two.

Akumba moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Akumba lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Kong has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Kong and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Kong does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Akumba takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Akumba misses with an uppercut
and as Akumba looks to reset his feet, Kong counters with a string of precision punches, right on the button, sending Akumba crashing to the canvas! Akumba is in big trouble here! The referee has started the count but Akumba is so wobbly that the ref has given up the count at 6 - he's called the bout off! Kong is your winner!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:52 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Xafan Kong!
Xafan Kong spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
In defeat, Mako Akumba stepped up to the mic, saying 'I'll be helping Soyster with his gym, and I look forward to that part of my career.'.
