Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Rodrigo Duterte (ranked 5246 p4p, 4471 weight class) and Don Smith (ranked 431 p4p, 0 weight class). Duterte comes to the cage accompanied by Ignition (Remix). The crowd seem to be enjoying Smith's choice of entrance music: Hold on to the vision. Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Duterte shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Smith pinned against the cage. Smith gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Duterte fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Smith looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Duterte throws a right and a left that Smith avoids nicely.

Smith decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Duterte kicks off Smith and gets to his feet.
Duterte is breathing heavily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Smith ducks under a wild hook from Duterte.
Smith uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Duterte.
And Smith tries to counter it with a takedown but Duterte pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Smith closes the distance and clinches up with Duterte, looking for a takedown. Smith pushes Duterte against the cage but Duterte circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Duterte attempts a counter takedown but Smith avoids it well and moves away.

Smith scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

Smith has hold of Duterte's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Duterte seems comfortable defending it but Smith has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Duterte is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Duterte is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Smith couldn't care less - he's delighted!

Don Smith tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
