Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Michal Sykora!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Draylen Johnson!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, John Kavanagh and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sykora throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Michal Sykora seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Johnson has closed the distance and engaged Sykora in a clinch.
Johnson lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Johnson controlling the pace.
Johnson prevents Sykora from improving his position.
Johnson wants to pass the guard but Sykora is defending well.
Johnson decides to stand and escape the position.
Johnson closes the distance and pushes Sykora back into the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Johnson wants the takedown. Sykora is fighting it off but Johnson persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Sykora's guard against the cage.
Sykora controls Johnson momentarily but Johnson frees himself.
Sykora is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Johnson makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
That's one minute gone in the round.
Sykora throws a series of punches but Johnson avoids them all with ease.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Sykora.
Sykora throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Johnson darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Sykora works his way to full guard. Good work.
Johnson missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sykora is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Sykora throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Johnson drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Johnson seems to have locked his on tight now - Sykora screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Johnson, as he picks up the win!
