Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Andy Norris!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kongor Fernandes!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Alan Glass and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Norris or perhaps it was just good defense by Fernandes which made him look bad.
Norris shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Fernandes but Fernandes pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Kongor Fernandes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Norris looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Andy Norris. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Fernandes lands a right hook to the body.

Norris's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Norris is taking a breather. Fernandes says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Fernandes might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Norris kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Norris not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Norris takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Fernandes looks to land a combination. Norris sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Fernandes lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Norris backs up against the cage.

and Norris counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Norris drops his hands momentarily and Fernandes takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Fernandes misses with a series of wild punches.
Fernandes is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Fernandes will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Fernandes might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

You can see the frustration on Fernandes's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Fernandes manages to reverse the position and now he's in Norris's guard. Nice work there by Fernandes.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Fernandes wants to control from the top but Norris keeps moving.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Norris holds on and takes a little breather.
Andy Norris is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Fernandes accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Norris, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
