Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Konichiwa Jempsa (ranked 828 p4p, 3312 weight class) and Jon Horn (ranked 124 p4p, 430 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 19 - 10 - 0, fighting out of London, Konichiwa Jempsa! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 24 - 36 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jon Horn! The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Saam Ante and Radbod Blank.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Horn pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Horn thumps Jempsa with a low kick. Jempsa drives through with a takedown into guard. We've been hearing that Jempsa has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish. Jempsa trying to control the position from guard on top but Horn is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Horn wants to stand and escape but Jempsa is having none of it. Jempsa stands and throws Horn's legs to the side, diving into side control. Jempsa working the ground and pound but Horn is defending the strikes. Horn is not content to let Jempsa control the position. Jempsa tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Horn is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jempsa wants to lay and pray for a moment but Horn keeps working. Jempsa is putting a hurting on Horn here, landing some big shots from side control. Jempsa in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Jempsa passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Horn! Horn's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Jempsa lands a big shot there that rocks Horn but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Horn is trying to stand. Jempsa working for a guillotine from mount but Horn is in no mood to give up. Jempsa lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Jempsa controlling the pace for now. Horn's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jempsa lands with some strikes. Jempsa looking to finish Horn with some ground and pound. This is bad for Horn! Horn wants to get back to his feet.
Jempsa with good strikes from the mount here! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Jempsa cracks Horn with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Jempsa lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Horn tries to buck Jempsa off but he can't manage it. Horn is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jempsa working away from the top, dropping strikes. Jempsa lands with some strikes. Jempsa controlling his opponent. Jempsa lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Horn hang on? Jempsa scores with a couple of good head shots there.
You get the feeling that Horn really doesn't like being in this position too much.
