Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Rou Joukani!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ryan Yoder!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Paulsen Ambrosius and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yoder throws a chopping leg kick but Joukani manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Joukani checks a leg kick nicely.
Good standup being displayed there by Yoder as he connects with a hook.
Joukani lands a slapping body shot.
Joukani ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Yoder is looking to chop away at Joukani's legs.
Joukani misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Joukani misses with a head kick.
Yoder takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Yoder has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Yoder shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
That's one minute gone in the round.
A chopping leg kick lands by Joukani.
Joukani lands a high kick!
It looks like Ryan Yoder has been cut.
Yoder has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Joukani.
Yoder tries to land a body kick
and Joukani cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Yoder is rocked!
An inside leg kick from Yoder misses.
Yoder misses with a looping left.
Joukani and Yoder are patiently standing in front of each other looking for an opening. Joukani throws a head kick. It's landed, knocking Yoder into next week! Ooooh that was huge! Joukani knows it - he's on the cage flexing is biceps. That's a bit weird considering he won by kick but whatever.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Rou Joukani!
Rou Joukani decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
