Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Logan Paul (ranked 5207 p4p, 4994 weight class) and DeAndre Jackson (ranked 586 p4p, 573 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Logan Paul! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, DeAndre Jackson! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Wesley Smith and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Paul dodges the punch combination from Jackson.
Paul appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Paul looks for a takedown but Jackson sprawls well. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Jackson! But no joy. Paul darts in looking for a takedown but Jackson gets double underhooks and turns Paul into the cage. Paul gets a trip takedown into half guard. Jackson makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! Paul gets caught flat footed, as Jackson shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Paul being controlled here, momentarily. Jackson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Paul is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jackson loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jackson is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Paul pulls Jackson in close to his closed guard and prevents Jackson from doing any damage or advancing position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jackson throwing strikes from guard but Paul blocks nicely. Paul not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Jackson controlling from the top position. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Paul wants to stand and escape but Jackson is having none of it.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Logan Paul seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Paul shoots in for a takedown but Jackson shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Jackson's coach down at WolfPac Academy was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Jackson's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Logan Paul. That's going to take a lot out of him. Paul swinging wildly here.
Jackson tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Jackson misses the jab. A swing and a miss from Paul. Jackson with the counter takedown but Paul avoids it easily. Paul shoots in and bounces Jackson off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Paul wanted to stand there but Jackson had control of the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jackson wants to sweep here but Paul controlling him for the moment. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Paul's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Paul wants to stand but Jackson has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Paul trying to control the position from guard on top but Jackson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Paul passes easily into side control. Nice work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Jackson throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done! Paul tries to clinch up but Jackson circles away and keeps his distance. A big right from Jackson misses. Paul swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. Paul tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Jackson swivels and escapes. Paul shoots for a takedown but Jackson saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Paul goes for a double leg but Jackson avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Jackson continues to drive forward. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Jackson is trying to break the clinch but Paul is controlling him. Jackson wants to take the fight to the mat but Paul manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Paul pulls Jackson into guard.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
DeAndre Jackson dominated that round. That's time! Paul's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Paul wants to clinch but Jackson slips to the side and Jackson counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Paul working a defensive guard here.
Jackson engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Paul working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Jackson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Jackson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Paul not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jackson seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Paul trying to control the position here. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Jackson with a flurry of punches that miss. Jackson is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Paul throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Jackson sees it coming and avoids it easily. Jackson feints the counter takedown. Jackson throws a right and a left that both miss. As Jackson tries to get set, Paul tries to push him back and clinch up but Jackson manages to avoid the attempt. Paul looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Jackson has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Paul wants to take a breather but Jackson is having none of it. Paul seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jackson keeping control of the position. Jackson avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Paul. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jackson can do anything to dispel that myth. It looks like Paul is going to stand back up.
Jackson is staying active underneath Paul, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Jackson swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Paul thows a leg kick but Jackson checks it and Jackson counters with a single leg into guard. Paul didn't expect that. Paul looking for a triangle here. Jackson is fighting it but it looks tight! Paul pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Jackson is tapping out - this one is all over!
