Champion comes to the cage accompanied by Aegukka. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Clarence Hoost enters the cage!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Clarence Hoost!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Percy O'Donnell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Champion checks a leg kick nicely.
Champion swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
A bone on bone clash there as Hoost blocks the leg kick.
Hoost throws a sloppy body shot
and Champion counters with an inside leg kick.
Champion falls off balance throwing a combination
and Hoost counters with a nice uppercut.

It looks like Peoples Champion has been cut.
Hoost is looking to clinch.
Champion swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
An inside leg kick from Champion misses.
Hoost tries to clinch but Champion is having none of it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hoost lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Champion at a distance.
Champion smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

It looks like Clarence Hoost has been cut.

Champion throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Hoost stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Champion avoids a low kick by using good footwork.

and Champion counters with a crisp one two that drops Hoost! Champion thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Hoost to his feet! Hoost is in big trouble!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Champion uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Hoost.

Hoost seems to have recovered his senses.
Champion tries to work over Hoost's front leg with a kick but Hoost checks it.
Champion definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Hoost tries a body shot but Champion blocks it.

Hoost has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. Champion seems to have the measure of him in the clinch so far, so let's see if Hoost can turn it around.

In his post fight interview, Clarence Hoost started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
