Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Montesh Dominguez (ranked 1125 p4p, 2431 weight class) and Ryo Hazuki (ranked 154 p4p, 312 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 5 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Montesh Dominguez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ryo Hazuki! The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Damien Edna and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice takedown defense from Dominguez. No joy for Hazuki on that attempt. We've been told by Dominguez's head coaches at MY YARD Resurrect that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Dominguez just misses with a punch to the body.
Hazuki with the counter takedown but Dominguez avoids it easily. Dominguez clinches. Dominguez gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
It looks like Ryo Hazuki has been cut. Hazuki tries to break the clinch but Dominguez is controlling the position. Both guys are working to get underhooks. Hazuki drags the fight down to the ground.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dominguez has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Dominguez has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Hazuki misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Dominguez lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
