Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Josh Peters (ranked 24280 p4p, 25014 weight class) and Brad Beaver (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Josh Peters! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 18 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Brad Beaver! The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Winston Alpacca and Michael Johnstone.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Beaver avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Beaver looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Peters shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Peters shoots for a takedown but Beaver saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Peters moves into the clinch successfully.
Peters is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Beaver is defending well. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Josh Peters. That's going to take a lot out of him. Peters is trying to push Beaver away but Beaver has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Beaver just leaning against Peters, taking a breather. Peters is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Beaver pulls him back up using the underhooks. Peters wants to break free but Beaver has control.
Beaver's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. No luck with that takedown attempt from Beaver. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Peters is defended easily by Beaver. And Beaver tries to counter it with a takedown but Peters pushes his down on his head and steps out.
That's one minute gone in the round. Peters tries to land a leg kick but Beaver saw it coming and moves away.
Peters throws a head kick that misses. Beaver with the counter takedown but Peters avoids it easily. Beaver stuffs the takedown. Peters shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Beaver but Beaver pushes him off and we're back to square one. Peters lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Peters tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Beaver paws at him with a jab and circles away. Peters doesn't manage to clinch there - Beaver circles away.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Peters fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Beaver avoids it really well and circles away. Beaver lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Peters pulls out of a head kick attempt.
The fight stays on the outside here - Peters looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Peters misses with an uppercut. Beaver saw that one coming. Beaver stuffs the takedown. Beaver fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Peters to the ground. Beaver is now in Peters's guard. Beaver throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Peters works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Peters looking to sweep here. No luck so far. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Beaver wanted to stand there but Peters had control of the position.

Peters wants to sweep here but Beaver controlling him for the moment. Peters is trying to hold Beaver in close to prevent damage but Beaver has managed to pass into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Beaver trying to control from half guard but Peters is working away. Peters is trying to get back to full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Beaver is keen to just control but Peters is a slippery customer. Peters wants to improve his position but Beaver is controlling well.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Beaver is thwarting Peters's attempts to control the position.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Peters looks for a takedown but Beaver sprawls well. No joy there for Peters, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Peters tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Peters doesn't manage to clinch there - Beaver circles away.
Peters shoots for a double leg takedown but Beaver sprawls well. He's pushed Peters's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Brad Beaver dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Peters instigates a clinch. Peters is looking to break free of the clinch but Beaver has double underhooks. Beaver looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Beaver blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Beaver is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Peters pulls him back up using the underhooks. Peters breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Peters shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Beaver as he avoids it easily. Beaver dodges the punch combination from Peters.

Beaver has hold of Peters's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Peters manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

That was a close second round but I would say that Josh Peters will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Brad Beaver's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round! Peters tries to clinch up. Beaver is clearly looking to counter with head kicks. Peters fails with the takedown and Beaver holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Peters trying to stall but Beaver improves his position.

Peters shoots in for a takedown but Beaver shows good takedown defense. A low kick from Peters is predictable there and Beaver counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
And that's the end of the fight! Brad Beaver comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Beaver has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
