Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Cormac McCarthy (ranked 4547 p4p, 4704 weight class) and Han Jun (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Marco Blurström and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McCarthy lands with a nice body punch.

Jun uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by McCarthy.

Jun is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Jun has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. McCarthy avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

McCarthy has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Jun is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Jun escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. McCarthy gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

and McCarthy counters with a stiff right hand.
McCarthy looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
McCarthy is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Jun is trying to defend against the ground and pound but McCarthy scores with a couple of nice shots.

McCarthy content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
McCarthy is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
McCarthy scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Cormac McCarthy overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
McCarthy looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Jun with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
McCarthy takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
McCarthy knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jun on the ground.
McCarthy wants to free his trapped foot but Jun is holding on for dear life with his legs.

McCarthy is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Jun reverses the position - he's now on top in McCarthy's guard.
Han Jun has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Cormac McCarthy is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
McCarthy pulls Jun in to control the position.
And that's the end of the fight!
Cormac McCarthy showed his dominance in that final round.
Well McCarthy has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
