Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Kai Tokugawa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Chris Watson!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Winston Alpacca and Peter Branson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tokugawa is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Watson.
A combination from Tokugawa does no damage.
Watson defending well as Tokugawa loads up on a big left hand.
Watson takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Watson avoids a punch combination nicely.
Tokugawa waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Watson.
Tokugawa throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Watson sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Watson has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Kai Tokugawa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tokugawa lands a jab to the nose.

Watson tries to keep at a distance but Tokugawa has taken the fight into the clinch.
Tokugawa lands with a light punch inside.
Tokugawa swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Watson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Tokugawa tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Watson paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Watson slips under a jab from Tokugawa.
A swing and a miss from Tokugawa.
Tokugawa looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Tokugawa darts in trying to clinch
and Watson counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Watson throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Tokugawa loads up on a big right hand but Watson slips the punch.
Tokugawa looks to land a left hand but Watson moved out of range nicely.
Watson lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Tokugawa throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Watson! But no joy.
Tokugawa throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Watson sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Watson throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Tokugawa counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Watson sizes up Tokugawa with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Tokugawa lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Watson ducks right into an uppercut from Tokugawa.
Tokugawa takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Watson walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Tokugawa throws an overhand right that lands on Watson's shoulder, as Watson tries to avoid the shot.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Tokugawa tries to close the distance and clinch but Watson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Watson with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Tokugawa to score with a decent uppercut.
The fight stays on the outside here - Tokugawa looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Tokugawa tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Watson manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Watson misses with a series of wild punches.
Tokugawa looks to throw the jab but Watson is out of range.
Watson is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Tokugawa drops Watson with a straight right hand, right on the button! Tokugawa follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kai Tokugawa!
