Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alex Silva (ranked 2806 p4p, 3283 weight class) and Dai Young (ranked 350 p4p, 412 weight class). Young is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Motorhead. Alex Silva could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Dai Young's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Young was well out of range. Poor timing from Silva.
Silva throws a looping overhand right but Young ducks down to avoid it.

Silva shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Young avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Silva is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Young wants to sweep here but Silva controlling him for the moment.

Silva has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Silva stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Young swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Young is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Silva is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Silva scores with a nice right hand.
Young walks straight into a right hand from Silva - that's dropped him! Silva jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Young from any more punishment! Young complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
