And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Michael Cudlitz!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Gwen Towbar and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cudlitz has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Clarkson.
Clarkson closes the distance looking to clinch

and Cudlitz counters with a takedown into side control.
Cudlitz cracks Clarkson with a big elbow.
Clarkson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Clarkson explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!

Cudlitz closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Clarkson quickly recovers to half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Clarkson gets full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Clarkson wants to sweep but no luck.
Cudlitz sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Clarkson's guard.
Cudlitz lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Cudlitz landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.

Cudlitz trying to control the pace.
Cudlitz looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

Cudlitz is working for a kimura but Clarkson is defending it quite comfortably.
Well, if Cudlitz is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Let's hope that Cudlitz has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Cudlitz wants to advance to full mount but Clarkson doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.
Clarkson looking to hit a scissor sweep but Cudlitz is one step ahead there.
Cudlitz not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Cudlitz won't allow Clarkson to get back to his feet.
Cudlitz passes Clarkson's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Cudlitz works his foot free and advances to mount.
Cudlitz raining down shots from the mount!
Clarkson is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Cudlitz sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.

Clarkson keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Cudlitz scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Cudlitz lands a big elbow.
Cudlitz with a couple of short strikes.
Cudlitz has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Clarkson's face.

Clarkson is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Clarkson tries to hold on but Cudlitz postures up.
Oh Clarkson is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Cudlitz postures up and throws a massive shot that knocks Clarkson out cold! Two more strikes to his unconscious opponent for good luck and this one is all over! Cudlitz goes absolutely crazy with his corner! Wow, you can see how much that win means to him!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Michael Cudlitz!
